British Gymnastics Foundation at the Champs!

Last weekend, our charity had the absolute pleasure of attending the Artistic British Gymnastics Championships – and what an unforgettable experience it was!

From the moment the event began, we were captivated by the incredible talent, dedication, and passion on display. Watching such inspiring gymnasts perform at the very highest level was truly special, leaving everyone feeling motivated and uplifted.

On Saturday, we were delighted to welcome a number of inspirational families as part of our Inspirational Experiences Programme. These families were treated to the very best seats in the house, giving them a front-row view of all the action. One of the highlights for many was the chance to meet some of their heroes – moments that will be remembered for years to come.

Bryony Page, Jessica and Jennifer Gadirova meeting our special guests.

The excitement continued on Sunday, when our “Best Seats in the House” competition winners enjoyed the gymnastics from these fantastic seats. Our Best Seats in the House competition raised an incredible £939,00. Alongside this, we raised additional funds over the weekend through a fun chocolate tombola, bringing in £571.12. A huge thank you to everyone who took part, and to the staff at British Gymnastics for generously donating all the chocolate!

We also held a number of closed bid auctions for some fabulous Milano leotards. With thanks to Milano and the performance team at British Gymnastics, this raised an incredible £458.81.

Huge thanks go to Joanna and Nile Wilson, Ash and Luke, who were absolute troopers meeting and greeting fans throughout the weekend. Joanna is also raising funds for her London Marathon run next month, and we’re so grateful for her support. Their endless enthusiasm helped encourage so many people to take part in our fundraising activities, and we had some wonderful conversations with attendees about our programmes.

Thank you!

Over the weekend, we raised £1097.93. These funds will al go directly to our programmes, using gymnastics to support those living with dementia, Parkinson’s, disabilities, families in hardship and crisis and disadvantaged people trying to improve thier lives.

If you were there and spoke to us, we’d love to continue those conversations and explore ways to work together! email : theteam@britishgymnasticsfoundation.org

What an event – and a big well done to the British Gymnastics events team for putting on such a fantastic weekend. We’re already looking forward to being back… see you next year!
