This is an exciting opportunity to join the British Gymnastics Foundation; partner Charity of British Gymnastics. We’re looking for an experienced Administrator to join our small team here at the British Gymnastics Foundation. We believe that gymnastics has the power to transform lives. The British Gymnastics Foundation exists to create opportunities through gymnastics, to bring real improvements to the lives of people and communities most in need.
This role directly contributes to all five of our programmes.
We are looking for someone who can particularly emulate our values of ‘Caring’ and ‘Inclusive’. You will be involved in supporting the team across all programmes, contributing towards creating unforgettable and heart-warming experiences for people who have been through tough times as part of the Inspirational Experiences programme; administering the financial support given through the Hardship Grants programme with the aim of keeping gymnasts participating in gymnastics, through tough times; supporting the Limitless programme to develop and empower people from disadvantaged communities, to raise confidence, improve wellbeing and watch their confidence grow throughout their initial week at Lilleshall; and supporting the administration of our Love to Move programme aimed at enhancing the well-being and quality of life of older individuals, including those living with dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and other cognitive impairments.

37 hours per week
Salary £24,763.00 per annum,
39 days annual leave (including Bank Holiday and Company days) + 2 wellbeing days a year + weekly exercise and wellbeing hours
This is an office-based role working from Lilleshall National Sports Centre, nr Newport, Shropshire
Role Summary:
The main purpose of the role is to provide effective administrative support to the British Gymnastics Foundation (BGF) team across a range of projects, business functions, charity activities and communications.

The main responsibilities of the role are:
- To support the flow of work through the charity, to ensure the effective and timely completion of day-to-day administration.
- To support the Fundraising Officer to administer fundraising campaigns, auctions and collection of data for reporting and bid writing.
- To support the Love to Move programme administration and other future programme administration
- Embedding Governance, Safe Sport and Inclusive practice in line with our values
- All employees of British Gymnastics have a responsibility to keep themselves, our sport, our members and our colleagues safe.
- This includes upholding our commitment to safeguarding, inclusive working practices data protection, health and safety, financial management and risk management policies. It also involves promoting our rules and standards of expectations for members, and reporting any suspected risks, breaches, misconduct or poor practice to the appropriate channel

We are seeking someone with a patient and caring nature, who has good attention to detail, high accuracy skills and is really good with people.
To be effective in the role, you will have a good sense of teamwork and responsibility towards colleagues and beneficiaries of the programmes, great communication skills and a resilient and positive attitude.
This role requires the holder to demonstrate:
- Professional and helpful telephone and communication skills
- Competent IT skills for a range of systems/software including MS Outlook and MS Office
- A good command of the English language for accuracy of work and proof- reading
- Competent administration skills, including an understanding of accounts processes
- Good organisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
- To be effective the role holder will require knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s roles, functions, programmes, activities and systems of work.
- You will be dealing with sensitive information and supporting vulnerable people; therefore, you will need a high level of empathy and confidentiality.
