British Gymnastics Foundation announces YES as Title Partner for Limitless Programme

The British Gymnastics Foundation is delighted to announce a new three-year partnership with YES (Youth Experience Sport), who will become the title partner of its Limitless Programme.

The Limitless Programme, launched four years ago, is designed to enhance the skills and confidence of individuals from under-represented communities who may have faced barriers to employment or participation in sport. Through comprehensive training and a dedicated mentoring scheme, the programme supports participants every step of the way.

Upon completion, participants gain an Assistant Foundation Coach qualification, the first step on the pathway to becoming a Gymnastics Coach, enabling them to deliver recreational gymnastics to children and young people in their communities.

YES (Youth Experience Sport) provides vital financial support to sports clubs, youth centres and charities, enabling them to create safe, inclusive environments where young people can play, learn and grow. Through this partnership, YES will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the Limitless Programme, helping to train more gymnastics coaches from underserved communities and extend its reach.

The programme has already delivered a significant impact:

  • 35 coaches have completed the programme to date
  • 100% of the 2024 cohort are now in coaching roles
  • Together, graduates are reaching 1,182 children every week
  • 7 out of 10 participants are now in paid employment

Talking about the new partnership, Louise Roberts, Head of Programmes at the British Gymnastics Foundation, said: “The Limitless programme can make the most incredible difference to so many lives. We are really grateful to ‘Youth Experience Sport’ as their support means that we can help many more people over the next 3 years, and they, in turn, will coach, become role models, and transform the lives of thousands of young people in their communities.”

Rebecca Scown, CEO at YES, also commented: “We’re incredibly proud to partner with the British Gymnastics Foundation through the Limitless Programme. At YES, we believe every young person should have the opportunity to experience the positive impact of sport, regardless of their background or circumstances. This partnership allows us to reach more communities across the country, supporting young people to build confidence, develop skills and open up new pathways for their future through gymnastics.”
